History—His Story of First Importance: Jesus Christ

1 Corinthians 15:3-6 NIV “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, He appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all He appeared to to me also, as to one abnormally born.”

Consider all the stories of history and there is only one story, His Story, the Story of Jesus Christ, a story of first importance. Jesus Christ died for the sins of all people, He was buried, and then He arose three days later from the grave of death to life according to the Scriptures. Jesus Christ appeared to Peter, who denied Him three times before He died, and then to the Twelve disciples. Then Jesus Christ appeared to more than five hundred brothers at the same time! Paul, the author of this eye witness account reports most of these 500 people were still living, though some have fallen asleep/death! Then Jesus Christ appeared to James, all the apostles and to Paul himself, referring to himself as abnormally born.

What is first in your life? Is Jesus Christ first? Focus on what Jesus Christ did! His life’s blood paid for my sin and the sins of every person. God accepts me because His Son, Jesus Christ obeyed His Father God’s will for His own life and the people of the world. John 3:16 NIV “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” God loves the world of people. God gave the life of His Son, Jesus Christ as the only way to Himself, Eternal Life. Believing in Jesus Christ leads to Eternal Life, non-belief leads to perishing! What will you choose? Eternal Life or Perish! The choice is yours! Choose wisely, your choice has eternal consequences, leading to eternal life or perish/death. John 14:6 NIV “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'” Jesus Christ: The Way, Truth, and Life! No person comes to the Father God except through Jesus Christ. There is only one way to the Father God: Jesus Christ. Truth/Jesus Christ. Life/Jesus Christ.
