Prayer: Communication with God/Jesus/Holy Spirit
- Prayer is communication with God, but not all people communicate with the one true God. God’s grace is accessed through Holy Spirit inspired prayer of Jesus’ believers, thereby accessing the very throne room of God. God’s throne room resides in the 3rd heaven. People on earth can see the first heaven containing the sun, the moon, and the stars. Airplanes and shuttles access the second heaven. Jesus sits at the right hand of God in the 3rd heaven. “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.’ After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and He sat at the right hand of God.” (Mark 16:15-16; 19, TTCRB) Holy Spirit inspired prayer is the heart of God’s adopted children’s interacting with their Father God, Abba Father. Prayer is comparable to breathing, continuous. Lack of continuous breathing creates health problems and death! If you have ever flown on an airplane, the stewardess gives safety instructions to passengers in case of an emergency to apply oxygen to themselves first and then, to children and other adults. The Bible also gives safety instructions to passengers traveling through life. A believer who does not believe they have a responsibility to pray is refusing to line up their will with Jesus’ will. Remember Jesus prayed to God showing His dependence upon God, His submission to God’s will, His responsibility to do God’s will while living on earth, His accountability to do God’s will. A believer who is not willing to pray about everything is not open to God controlling their life. Such a person is still trying to control their own life. Without prayer communication, the relationship between the believer and God/Jesus/Holy Spirit will not mature, will not grow, and will wither die. Why? Such a believer is refusing to abide in the vine, Jesus. “I Am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the Word I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be My disciples.” (John 15:1-8, TTCRB) Nuggets of Truth: Jesus is the True Vine. God is the Gardener. God cuts off non-fruit bearing branches. Fruitful branches receive pruning to develop more fruit. Obedient believers are clean because God’s Living Word, Jesus cleanses them. By a believer remaining in Jesus, Jesus remains in the believer. No branch can bear fruit by itself; the branch must remain in the vine. Neither can a believer bear fruit unless the believer remains in Jesus. Jesus is the vine, believers are branches. If a person remains in Jesus and Jesus remains in the person, the person will bear much fruit; apart from Jesus, the person can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Jesus, the person is like a throw away branch destined to burn in the fire. If a person remains in Jesus and Jesus’ Word remains in the person, the person may ask whatever they wish and Jesus will give it to them displaying God’s glory in Jesus disciples fruit bearing activities. “The Lord says to my Lord: Sit at My right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet. The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion; your will rule in the midst of your enemies. Your troops will be willing on Your day of battle. Arrayed in Holy majesty, from the womb of the dawn, you will receive the dew of your youth. The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind: ‘You are a Priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.’ The Lord is at your right hand; He will crush kings on the day of His wrath. He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth. He will drink from a brook beside the Way, therefore He will lift up His head.” (Psalm 110:1-7, TTCRB) Nuggets of Truth: God directed the Lord Jesus to sit at His right hand until Jesus’ enemies are made into a footstool by God! The scepter rule of Jesus will include Zion and also ruling in the midst of His enemies. Jesus’ youthful troops arrayed in Holy majesty at daybreak will willingly go to battle. Jesus will forever be a Melchizedek Priest. “And He says in another place,’You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.'” (Hebrews 5:6, TTCRB) Jesus will crush kings, judge the nations, heaping up the dead and and crushing rulers of the whole earth on the Wrath Day. Jesus, the Living Water will drink from a brook representing His Righteous Way.
